BIOGRAPHY
With a passion for music and a drive to entertain, Duncan McCartney offers versatile performances as a solo act, acoustic duo, or with a full rock band. With extensive experience as a fill-in bassist or keyboardist, Duncan McCartney Music brings energy and talent to every stage.

Duncan started playing piano at the age of 7, taking a decade of classical lessons in the Conservatory Canada curriculum, he then played clarinet and saxophone in school bands. He attended Mount royal University from 2007-2009 obtaining a Music Performance Diploma, and Vancouver Island University from 2009-2012 pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies.

From there, Duncan moved back to Calgary and started performing professionally, playing all over Western Canada with a wide variety of artists. He started teaching full-time in 2014 and has been doing it ever since, currently as School of Rock Calgary's busiest instructor.

Duncan's debut EP is set to come out in late 2024, marking his first time releasing music under his own name.
