About Duncan McCartney (B. Mus, Dip. Mus)

Duncan McCartney brings a lifetime of experience to everything he does. From undergraduate music studies at Mount Royal University and Vancouver Island University, to 15 years of professional performance experience across North America he brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique approach to every project.

As a solo artist, Duncan's cover repertoire leans heavily into Classic Rock, with a dose of blues, R n' B, classic country and pop. With an eclectic song list able to fit the vibe of any show or event, Duncan can provide the soundtrack to an unforgettable evening.

Currently the bassist, keyboardist, and second vocalist of Calgary bands In/Vertigo and Solhound; Duncan has also performed with The Shannon Smith Band, legendary Guns N' Roses tribute The Nightrain, Whitehorse folk artist Hendrika, and many others. Comfortable with a variety of instruments and styles, he fits neatly into any musical situation.
